8 wooden skewers (6 inch) - soaked in water 30 minutes prior to using
STRIPES SAUTE SKILLET (5 QT.) | STAINLESS STEEL SPATULA | STRIPES SAUCEPAN WITH STRAINER LID (2.5 QT.) |
1. Place scallions, onion, parsley, and garlic into a food processor. Pulse until very finely minced. Mixture should almost start to liquefy.
2. Add ground beef to a mixing bowl. Transfer the blended onion and parsley mixture to the bowl along with the spices.
3. Mix using hands until ingredients are fully incorporated.
4. Form beef into oblong cigar-like shapes on skewers. Repeat until mixture is used up (about 6-8 skewers.)
5. Heat olive oil over medium heat and make sure it's hot before adding skewers. Cook for 15 minutes (flipping halfway through.)
7. Prepare yellow rice according to package instructions using Stripes Saucepan.
6. Remove Kafta from pan and serve over yellow rice. Also garnish with tomatoes & cucumber salad with Feta cheese and some Pita bread to complete this Mediterranean dish.
