Like a lot of people here, the inside of my tea kettle rusted. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing at C&B. Fell in love with the style and was so excited I purchased it without reading the reviews. And after reading them it looks like I’m just out of luck now.

The whistle works often, but not always. The enamel does indeed chip and rust and the inside scratches. The warranty may as well not exist because after sending the requested photos, I was told that it's not covered, just scrub the rust off and oil the chips.

I got this kettle as a gift for a dear friend. In response to this request for a review (which I very much appreciate) I asked her about it. She said that the whistle has been finicky and sometimes it doesn’t even whistle at all when it’s boiling. That’s a lot of money to spend for a whistle that doesn’t work. She said she has been in contact with you about it. I’m sure you’ll make this right. Thank you.

I purchased the enamel over steel teakettle because of the glowing description the company provided. Evidently you can just write anything. After only 15 months of daily use the rust is everywhere - inside the pour spout neck, and under all the stainless bands covering the top and pour spout. It's ridiculous to pay over $100 for a teakettle that is made of such poor quality. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I got this kettle as a Christmas gift in 2021. After a year the paint is chipping off the bottom on one side and this evening I saw paint chips on the stove and noticed another crack on the other side. Such poor quality for an expensive product. I am hoping someone will reach out to me regarding this product. I will not be purchasing another!
