Do not waste your time or money

As others have mentioned in 3 months of once a day use the enamel has chipped and the warranty does not cover this apparently. They claim it was shocked in cold water or left on a hot burner and offered a very measly discount AND no shipping help. The kettle was used for literally one purpose and that was to boil water for coffee and was never left or abused in any fashion. As this is very minimal use in my opinion, I cannot fathom recommending this to anyone. Save your time and money and get something better.

Defective kettle, enamel chipping and rust, Chantal will not warranty. DO NOT BUY!

Six months after buying this kettle I noticed that the enamel on the inside of the kettle was chipping and there were additional areas of rust. I hate to think that myself or someone in my family may have ingested the ceramic shards.

I contacted Chantal and they accused me of damaging the kettle by leaving it empty on a hot burner or filling a hot kettle with cold water. I have never exposed the kettle to this kind of treatment, and the kettle is otherwise in excellent condition. I have other ceramic coated cookware by Le Creuset and Lodge that are many years old and have never worn like this.

Chantal offered me a "courtesy discount" to replace the kettle of $33 and $20 for shipping, which is more than I paid for the kettle initially.

I'm very disappointed in the quality of this kettle and the poor customer service by Chantal. I will never buy another Chantal product again and will not recommend this company to others.

Beautiful but a few design flaws

I love, love, love the look and color (FY-Fog Grey) of this teapot after receiving it as a birthday gift, however, as some other commenters noted it does dribble when pouring and can't hold much water since the base of the spout is situated toward the lower part of the kettle and will bubble out of the spout when boiling if it's filled much past that.
