Worst teakettle ever

I purchased the enamel over steel teakettle because of the glowing description the company provided. Evidently you can just write anything. After only 15 months of daily use the rust is everywhere - inside the pour spout neck, and under all the stainless bands covering the top and pour spout. It's ridiculous to pay over $100 for a teakettle that is made of such poor quality. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Poor quality

I got this kettle as a Christmas gift in 2021. After a year the paint is chipping off the bottom on one side and this evening I saw paint chips on the stove and noticed another crack on the other side. Such poor quality for an expensive product. I am hoping someone will reach out to me regarding this product. I will not be purchasing another!

Love this tea kettle

My 2nd kettle which I had over many years. It’s a work horse that is used every day. Love the look on our stove top.

Huge Disappointment

This is my third cobalt blue Chantal tea kettle since 1990. The first two were beautiful, with the two-tone harmonica working great. I purchased this one in the fall of 2021 in anticipation of my move in the summer of 2022 to a new home in retirement. I was first disappointed to note that the color is a very dark navy, not the pretty, bright cobalt of the past. After a couple weeks of unpacking, I finally decided to boil this kettle to find there was only a slightly muted sound. We tried adjusting the screw several times to no avail. In fact, now I hear no sound at all. I also tried boiling a solution of water and vinegar, which also proved fruitless. I threw away the box with all my moving chaos, so I don't even know how to return this.

Beautiful in my kitchen

Ordered this kettle in cobalt about five months ago and am very pleased with it’s overall workmanship and the lovely color and pleasing shape. This kettle replaced a Chantal stainless kettle I had for years. Unfortunately the whistle stopped working well about a month ago and now does not work at all. Bummer. Had been careful to not over heat the spout too. However I love the way it looks in my kitchen so much that even with that flaw I am ordering another, along with a kitchen timer dedicated just to making tea. Normally I would never spend this much for something that has a serious flaw; nor rate it four stars; but the overall beauty and shape of this kettle is just wonderful. Bet at some point Chantal fixes the whistle issue.
