Chantal sent this via UPS. It did not arrive by the suggested delivery date or within 2 days after. UPS claims they do not scan on such long distances, so they couldn’t tell me where the package was or when it would finally reach me. I had to find a replacement gift for the occasion. Chantal requires return authorization, which they gave me, but I had to return the shipment via USPS, not UPS. It cost more than twice as much, and as of 2-1/2 weeks later I still have not received my credit. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH CHANTAL.

Bought a vintage Chantal teakettle in April 2023, used only a couple times a week, when in July the lip around the mouth of the kettle came loose and started spinning each time I’d remove the lid to add water. I noticed that when it would move, chunks and shavings from the enamel from both the inside of the kettle and the outside would flake off. I reached out to customer service a number of times both over the phone and by email and for a high-end company, I’ve never had such terrible customer service. When I would call, no one picked up and the message sounded like it would go to a voicemail box but never did, and the single person listed for customer service either would never respond to emails or claim they couldn’t open the pictures they asked me to send (which I sent a couple different ways in a couple different formats but when no way seemed to work and when I’d inquire about the preferred way I should send them, they either wouldn’t respond or tell me the same way I was doing it). So I’m left with a defective kettle that I’ll no longer use and a bad experience with a company I will never purchase from again. Buyer beware.

I bought this to replace another Chantel kettle whose handle broke off and it wasn’t covered under warranty. This one is heavier and has a more substantial handle and it heats up quicker than my other one. I’m hearing impaired and appreciate that I can hear the whistle which is loud. I bought it in red and it’s a bright, clear color. It’s worth the price
