I love this kettle!

I have had a Le Creuset kettle for many years, but finally decided to replace it because I started making a lot of tea all throughout the day and didn't like the super alarming (yet very effective) whistle that made me and my wife practically run to get it off the heat. I didn't like that panic vibe occurring so much. So I sought this kettle out because of its harmonica whistle.
At first, my wife said it reminded her of the tornado sirens in Indiana that she was terrified of as a kid, but we've since gotten past that and I personally LOVE hearing it. It's loud but it doesn't sound like it's about to explode if you don't get it immediately. It also seems to boil water much more quickly than my last one. I don't know if this has to do with the fact that it is just steel (no enamel), or if it has to do with the fact that it sits completely flush against the glass of the stovetop, but it's a noticeably faster boil. Extremely pleased! It's perfect.
